How it works for you...

MAILING LIST PROFILE

Simply provide Direct Logistics with your mailing list profile containing the Zip Codes, quantities and piece weight of your shipment. You can send your Mailing List Profile to us in MAIL.DAT or ASCII delimited format, via email.

ELECTRONIC FILE FORMATS

Direct Logistics will has the capability to receive and
process many types of file formats including ASCII and MAIL.DAT formats.

ANALYSIS

Direct Logistics' proprietary computer program will analyze the data you provide on your Mailing List Profile.

• Step 1: The mailing is sorted to the Sectional Center Facilities (SCF).
• Step 2: Direct Logistics compares the savings with our price for transportation. (Those SCF stops resulting in a net savings remain. SCF stops without a net savings are rolled back to the destination BMC.)
• Step 3: Direct Logistics compares our price with the BMC savings and those with a net savings remain. The BMC stops that do not result in a net savings are entered locally without discounts.
• Step 4: In some cases, Direct Logistics will compare the DDU savings with our price for transportation.
  

REPORTS AND DATA EXPORT

Upon completion of analysis, Direct Logistics can provide a variety of helpful reports to assist you with label/addressing preparation. Many of our clients use our reports in presentations to their customers.

Reports are exported back to your system, arranging the production of addresses in order of load number or ship date. Zip Codes are also grouped by drops to facilitate the palletization of the mailing.

• JOB SUMMARY REPORT - Drop Level
  This cover letter provides the cost and postage savings recap along with a detailed shipping schedule.
• PRODUCTION REPORT - Drop Level
  This report summarizes the load numbers (ship dates), postal facilities, version information (if applicable), quantity, weight, skids and postage savings. Version delivery summaries, including total postage discounts, Direct Logistics price and your net savings are included.
• PRODUCTION REPORT - Zip Code Level
  This report displays the Zip Codes and versions per drop. Similar to the Drop Level report (above), this report is useful for palletization of the mailing in production.
• DROP DETAIL REPORT
  The appointments for each drop and specific details are summarized in this report.
• TRACING REPORT
  A daily tracing report will be faxed to you from Direct Logistics detailing the movement of each drop, until final delivery is complete.
